 Do sit-ups really work?

My friend and I were discussing the effectiveness of sit-ups. I said they work and she claimed they don't.
I disagree because I've actually seen them work with my body at least and I do them faithfully everyday.

What is y'all's opinion? scratchead

I would think they work if you keep at them doing them each day!!

They have worked for me too, but I don't think they are great on the back.

It is better to do crunches.....as Cheryl said, sit-ups are hard on the back (and your neck). Crunches work more with your "core" and that it important to keep in shape. Look online for core exercises and go from there.... Thumbsup

I agree when it comes to the back. I do crunches too. :D
