Anyone read of Dear America books. I love history. Each book has different history of the girls writing in journal telling about their lives back in the their time. Right now, I'm reading Voyage on the great Titanic. The diary of Margaret Ann Brady.

We have some of the Dear America books - my niece used to like to read them. We also have several of the movies that were made based on the books. The library has quite a collection of them, though, so we didn't buy many of them.

I've read some of them that I checked out from our library. I'm pretty sure I've read the one that you mentioned Melissa, about the Titanic.

I've read nearly all of them and enjoyed most of them.

Besides Dear America there's also Dear Canada as well as the Royal Diaries. Smile

Do you know of the "My America" series? They are the ones that are the journals of boys.

I've read 5 of them. I read the Titanic one that you mentioned. That was a good one. The other 4 were Civil War journals. The two that I liked the best were My Name is America: The Journal of James Edmond Pease, a Civil War Union Soldier and Dear America: A Picture of Freedom: The Diary of Clotee, a Slave Girl (I really liked that one).

Who's going to do the cooking?!?!
