Oops! I didn't see that you'd posted in here, Mimi! I'll have lots more to say *hopefully* this evening. And I'll have a "Guess the Price" pic to share, too!

Gin, I think you should hop a plane and come visit!

No problem, I only posted it a short time ago. Thumbsup

I'm closer, can I come too?  So glad that you all had the chance to meet up and have fun together.  I know how much fun it can be.  Looking forward to meeting "someone new" next July, can't wait.
You sure can!Thumbsup  (Wish I can say I'm on the list as one of the people you'll meet next July, but I can't commit to it at this point.Blue )

loveheart  Marilyn, I would LOVE to meet you in person! You'd absoLUTEly be welcome!!

Okay, I didn't make it back last night to write about this (obviously HeeHee ), but at least I *am* back. greenS

I have to agree with Amy that Kerissa is a kindred spirit. We had SO MUCH FUN! I wish she lived closer! (I wish that about several of you here on our prairie!)

Mom and I had an adventure just GETTING there. The van overheated twice, and I had to pull over and let it cool down. (When it cooled down I added fluid to the radiator. It was helpful that it was a cold day - I think it helped to cool things down more quickly!) We did get there safely, though! (And the van is now repaired.)

We had a waitress named Lisa - and she was left-handed! I thought that was cool. HeeHee (For the newer members, I'm left-handed, too.) Ha - and Kerissa's mom called me "Lefty". I thought that was cute. Laughing And seriously, it was like we were all old friends right from the start. I LOVED that.

We talked (and ate dinner) from 5:30 'til just about 7:00. The food was SO good. (And I was STARVED!) We probably would have talked the whole night away (and had fun doing so!), but we discovered that the antique/craft store that Amy was taking us to closed at 8:00! HeeHee It was just across the street, so it wasn't a long drive - good thing!! There were SO MANY things to look at!! Oh my word - some of them were hilarious. OH! And everything was marked "Fantastic". greenS  "Fantastic old purse!", "Fantastic lady's gloves!", "Fantastic old basket with funky yarn in it!" - I loved that enthusiasm. greenS  . . . From the outside, the store didn't look very big - but WOW!! There was a SERIOUS amount of stuff in there! We didn't even get to look at 1/4th of it, I'm sure. (Mom and I want to go back!)

I didn't bring my camera - but Kerissa's mom took a pic of the three of us together. I'll see if Kerissa will send a copy through so we can share it. We should have thought to take the picture indoors! Laughing  Amy, Kerissa and I were standing there in the wind, the cold - and I *think* some snowflakes too! - and laughing like crazy because Kerissa's camera, "Floyd", wouldn't focus for her mom! So here we were, teeth chattering, hair flying everywhere, and smiles frozen on our faces from the wind. Laughing  Ahhhhh, it was a wonderful night! I wish all of you could have joined us!

Laughing Those pictures should definitely prove to be interesting!!cold  Ha!  And there your mom was, nice and toasty warm in my van!Laughing

Ooooh, let me know when you want to go back!  Seriously, you really did not even see like 1/10th of it!  LOL!  It's one of those stores where you really have to go aisle by aisle, there is so much to see.Thumbsup

I had SO much fun!Applause  Our next 'date' is when Lisa & I and another friend of mine will be heading to Howell Michigan for antiquing, thrift store-ing, and stalking Melissa Gilbert!batEyes  My friend found her house so we are going to do a drive by.  And maybe see if she'd like to sit down for tea for awhile.batEyes

A little slow on the post here... but yes, it was heaps of fun being able to hang out with Lisa, Lisa's mom, and Amy! Definitely hope we can meet up again sometime!

ha ha Yes, mom is always noticing left handed people. If she doesn't notice, then I notice since I too am left handed.

Oh my! The next time I'm on my computer I need to look up the photos of us! I'm pretty sure I have them on my external harddrive. My computer is being a pill today so I'm on the laptop otherwise I'd load them up and look at them. I do recall thinking we all had natural smiles due to my mother having a hard time getting Floyd to cooperate!

Well, it took almost forever but the Divas finally met our fearless leader in person.  Cheryl, Lorrie and I are getting ready to watch the Cast members on stage on the pageant grounds in Walnut Grove, MN, July 25, 2014
