I'd like to say in Mansfield, MO since I am only 30 minutes from her Rocky Ridge Farm, but I found it on Pinterest. batEyes

I visited Laura&Almanzo's grave, Rose's grave and went to to their house and the museum. This was in 1991 when I went. Where is their son burried?

Well, Almanzo, Laura and Rose all lived in Mansfield, MO, so that is where they are buried. Baby Wilder died before they ever moved to Missouri, so I would imagine his grave near Charles and Caroline, but not real sure. scratchead

nice

“It was a huge shock when it came and very excited“

This was the duchess of cambridges take on how she felt when William proposed during their official engagement interview with ITN reporter Tom Bradby. There was a real giggle at the end. Cute.

Baby Wilder is buried with his grandparents and aunts in De Smet.

I am just seeing this now... I found it interesting when the post mentioned that for a period of time, the Wilder's lived in Florida. I didn't know that!

Yes, after Almanzo had been so ill, the doctor told them they needed to be somewhere warm, so they packed up and moved to Florida.  Laura could not handle the heat and humidity and they left from there...Little did she know how bad the humidity in Missouri would be...BLAH! Huh?

I don't think they were there very long....maybe a year or less....and since her books were about the prairie and not the swamp.... HeeHee

it does make sense about why Laura didn't mention living in Florida in her books, so I guess I do learn something new every day greenS  and thanks for mentioning about the 'Life and Times Of Laura' thread, I'll have to check that out!

Laura actually left a lot of things out of her books.....since it was for the younger generation, she didn't want too much pioneer drama in them......and some things, she just couldn't talk about....like when her brother got sick and died....Blue
