Happy 50th, GH!

Happy 50th Birthday to my all-time favorite Soap, General Hospital! I only watch 2 soaps (the other one being Y&R...who just celebrated their 40th. Happy Birthday to that show as well). GH has more of a special meaning to me because I watched that show since I was 11 years old, thanks to Rick Springfield! Soapnet is now playing a GH marathon, including the 1st episode, which I am taping on my DVR. That thing is going to be full, and I have no idea when I'll find the time to watch, but I will eventually. So many memories!

Anyway, right about the time I was watching, the show was #1! Luke & Laura were all the rage...and...the show was so HUGE, they made a rap song out of it! From 1981, see if any of you can remember this one! Enjoy!

Y&R is the only soap I watch. Congratulations to Y&R for 40 years on TV. Congratulations to GH for 50 years on air.

Wow, 50 years! I didn't realize it had been on that long! Good for them! I am a CBS girl---grew up on Y&R, ATWT and Guiding Light. Guiding Light was always my favorite. I haven't watched soaps for probably a decade, but I flipped on Y&R recently just for the heck of it and was so shocked to see some of the same characters and how they've aged. And oh my gosh, the Bold and the Beautiful! Should be called "Bold and the Botoxed"! Unreal, what some of these actresses have done to their faces. WHY can't they just age gracefully?!?!

I quit watching The Bold and the Beautiful. It's not as good as it used to be.
