I will never forget, when I was just a kid, how much in love I was with Annette when she was a Mouseketeer. Bless her heart! I saw her at the opening of Disneyland in California
Great memories! She battled that horrid disease for many a year. BLESS HER HEART.....

She was before my time...but I do remember her. I think it was my mom that brought her to my attention. MS is such a bummer. My best friend from HS has it, but in remission at this time.
My prayers are with Annette's family.

Sad to hear about Annette's passing. She was great in the beach movies and in the Skippy peanut butter commercials. RIP cryB

Annette had a line of stuffed bears that she sold on QVC. Marie Osmond sells dolls on there. I think the two of them teamed up with a doll and bear.....will have to look.....If so, it wouldn't surprise me if I have the doll/bear in my collection my aunt left me.... scratchead

I used to watch the Mickey Mouse Club reruns when I was a kid. I remember loving Annette, particularly all those 'serials' she starred in. Anyway, this is what I most remember for some reason. I can't believe I found it! (sorry for the bad quality).

That's Charlotte Stewart's future husband sitting next to her singing. Tim Considine.......

I, too didn't know that Charlotte was married to Tim. I found a you tube video of the Mouseketeers singing the Mickey mouse club song. Brought tears to my eyes.

Sad to hear about Annette but she has truly suffered in the past years. Tonight on the news, a reporter shared about meeting Annette and how she had coped at the end. This is a Canadian reporter and so I'm sure that many of you haven't seen it. THIS IS DIFFICULT TO WATCH, you have been warned.

Oh so sad....I never realized how much this disease would change her looks......so sad to see her that way, but such a relief she is no longer suffering. Blue

After looking at that video, it is NOT sad that she died. It was a blessing!
No human being deserves to live like that......... I'm glad God took her.......

Boy, you're right, Dave. This is one of those instances where death was a blessed release.

I can't see the video for some reason, but I do agree with you Dave and Rob. When someone is suffering the severely, death truly is a blessed release---perfect way to describe it Rob.

May Annette rest in peace.

My godmother battled MS for years. Like Annette, she slowly deteriorated until she was barely recognizable. Very sad that anyone should have to deal with such a horrible disease.

I am one of those who is living with MS. I was diagnosed at age 40 in 1996. I have been pretty lucky so far, I am still able to get around fairly well and trying a new drug therapy. We'll see what happens. Trying to put that video out of my mind now.

Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow.
