It started as Bonanza, then when it went into syndication, it was changed to The Ponderosa. There was a remake of it in 2001.
The Cartwright's thousand-square-mile Ponderosa Ranch is located near Virginia City, Nevada, site of the Comstock Silver Lode, during and after the Civil War. Each of the sons was born to a different wife of Ben's; none of the mothers is still alive. Adventures are typical western ones, with lots of personal relationships/problems thrown in as well.

Oh, I didn't even realize that Beth Sullivan wrote another project after Dr. Quinn. Interesting! IMDB says she just wrote it though, she doesn't have 'director' to her credit. Hmm, I might have to see if I can track down this Ponderosa remake.
Oh wow, I didn't know they boys all had different mothers. Ha, I thought you wrote "with lots of personal relationships/problems thrown in a well." I'd watch that.
