Do you think Rosie would make a good host? I think she would.

'Price' job 3934656526 <-----ClICK ROSIE

LOS ANGELES - "The Price Is Right" needs a host, and Rosie O'Donnell is interested. Very interested. The 45-year-old said on her blog recently that she was meeting with the "Price" people this week and that she "sure would" accept the job if they offer. "I LOVE THE PRICE IS RIGHT," she wrote, the capitalization underscoring her feelings.

CBS and FremantleMedia North America, which produces the hit game show, have been seeking a replacement for the venerable Bob Barker, who retired this month after 35 years as the show's host.
Among those reportedly in the running are Todd Newton of the E! network, Mark Steines of "Entertainment Tonight," George Hamilton and John O'Hurley. But Barker said O'Donnell is his pick.
"She knows the show," he said backstage at Friday's Daytime Emmy Awards. "There's no doubt in my mind she could do the show. Now, whether they want a lady host, I don't know. I've never heard that discussed. As far as I know, they've only auditioned men."
CBS and FremantleMedia had no comment Tuesday.
O'Donnell's spokeswoman, Cindi Berger, was not specific about the ex-"View" commentator's plans: "Rosie is meeting with several networks about a lot of different ideas."
"The Price Is Right" is filmed in Los Angeles. O'Donnell lives in Nyack, New York, near New York City, with her partner and their four children.

I think she's just a tad too political for host of TPIR.

She used to seem so nice. But she's been awfully.....unpleasant lately. Maybe if she had the whole show to herself again, she'd do okay. She sure doesn't seem to be a team player.

I really liked Rosie back when she had her own talk show. She was funny, entertaining and very 'viewer' friendly. But since she 'came out of the closet' and decided to be herself and push her views on everyone around her, she has let it all go to her head and thinks she is all that and the world couldn't go on without her. I like the old Rosie, this new one needs to go far, far away........... No

If this question had come up a year ago, she might have been a front-runner for the TPIR job. But after some of her opinions on The View, I don't think it'll ever happen. She's pretty much alienated anyone whose political views aren't left of center.

Of the people mentioned, I think Todd Newton would be the best choice. I've seen him hosting "Whammy" on GSN, and he seems like an old school Barker-type host - friendly, personable, and free of that hipper-than-thou cynicism that some of the younger hosts seem to have.

No. Either she was a very good actress back in her talk show days and hid her true feelings or something in her snapped and she went off the deep end. She's a train wreck. JMHO.

I agree with all of you. I can say on the View, she was annoying, constantly wanting to argue. I don't think she is "price is right" material.

LOL - It looks like we may not have to worry about it. Rosie says that she doesn't want to uproot her family and move from New York to California. And The Price is Right doesn't want to move from California to New York. grinsmiley

Rosie? NO WAY! She needs to go melt somewhere. I'm not sure who all is in the running...but I seriously hope that Mario Lopez gets it. I could look at him another 35 yrs!

Rob, you know it creeps me out when you do that. . . . . that . . . . . that FACE thing! :Hahaha:

I'm not sure who I'd like to be the host The Price is Right now. (Not that my opinion will have any influence, anyway!) But I hope they pick someone classy. Whoever it ends up being. . . . they're going to have a big job ahead of them. It's hard to think of The Price is Right without immediately thinking of Bob Barker.
