PostSubject: Who says dreams can't come true?   Fri Jul 12, 2013 1:37 pm

Hi everybody. I'm here to share an amazing story with you all. I am so touched by this that I feel I need to share this. It also gives me hope, that ANYTHING is possible...even if it seems as if it were the opposite.

There is an actor from the 70's/early 80's who I am FB friends with. I'm not going to say who he is, because I want to protect his privacy. He has many fans on his friend's list. While he is an open book there, I'd still rather not say who he is here. He posts statuses/pictures on there regularly, and I'm happy to say that he is doing very well! He is now a Cruise Director for a cruise line, and he gets to travel all over the world! He is also a really great guy. In fact, I'm going to give him a fake name..."Jason."

A few months ago, Jason posted about how excited he was, because he was finally going to meet a friend he's been friends with for over 30 years, but have never met! While he was on his very famous show from the 70's, he got loads of fan mail every day (you can imagine!). He would read as much as he could, and of course girls would send their phone numbers. One day, for the fun of it, he decided to actually call one of them! Long story short, they ended up talking on the phone for hours, and from there, a very special friendship grew. They would write to each other all the time for years, and then of course in later years they would e-mail, etc.

This girl is from Vancouver. I'm not going to say her name on here either...I'm saying way too much as it is, and I don't feel I have a right to just say her name. If anyone else here is his FB friend, you know who she is, and the actor who I'm referring to! I do feel I should protect her privacy, so I'll just call her a 'friend' and leave it at that. Anyway, a few months ago, the ship Jason works on was scheduled to dock in Vancouver, and they made arrangements to meet. He was so excited about meeting her face to face, as they had shared a very special friendship through the years...through all the good and the bad. Finally, they met, and he shared the pics. Very lovely girl. I can only imagine how excited she must have been!

Something really good came out of that...because now...they are a couple! He is so in-love with her, and he is now excited because she flew to Denmark to see him and spend time with him. He said he has finally found true love. I am so happy for them, and so touched by this story. It gives me hope; that you'll never know how you'll meet that special 'someone.' This man has been married a couple of times before, and has also gone through some seriously rough times over the years. He deserves to finally be happy, and now he is. Thanks to FB, I feel as if I personally know him, as he shares so much about his life.

I also think it's awesome that at that time, as popular as he was, he actually took time to call a random "fan" on the phone. Who does that? But, it was obviously meant to be! He got a great friendship out of that, and now he has so much more!

This is actually a true story! Please do me a favor...if any of you know who I'm talking about, please don't repeat his name on here. As I said, he shares a lot with his FB friends...but I don't want to just blurt it out here.

Pretty cool, huh? Love

Cool!

I know this is off topic but
Who here has seen the new robin hood with russle crow???

“It was a huge shock when it came and very excited“

This was the duchess of cambridges take on how she felt when William proposed during their official engagement interview with ITN reporter Tom Bradby. There was a real giggle at the end. Cute.
