Thanks everyone! Rob, yes, it's a strong possibility we could win the championship for the 2nd year in a row! No one in Miami slept last night...most people took the streets and started celebrating! Others (like myself) stayed home and watched all the commotion on TV.

Here in Miami we especially get excited because, let's face it, The Heat is really the only good team we have! I mean, The Dolphins are embarrassing, and don't even get me started on the Marlins! HeeHee

I remember the glory days of the Dolphins under Don Shula, with Bob Griese, Jim Kiick, Larry Csonka, et al. Great team! And yes, the Marlins... they've definitely fallen on hard times this season. I was too little when the Dolphins were under Don Shula, but I heard they were a great team! In fact, they won their only Super Bowl back in '73 under Shula. They made it to 2 super bowls in the 80's, but didn't win either one.

The Marlins won the World Series twice, last time in 2003. However, right after that happened, they started trading their best players, and they've been terrible ever since! Ranting

I'm not that big into sports in general, but happy when my team does well! Trust me, this is a big deal for the Dolphins! Those guys could never get it together before!

Rob, I remember my family telling me the time the Dolphins actually WON the Super Bowl. I was only 2 years old at the time, so I don't remember. I do remember they went to the Super Bowl two more times in my lifetime, but lost both games.

Our 836 highway (or expressway) was re-named The Dolphin Expressway shortly after they won.
