Where's My Boyfriend?

I hope, someday, I'll find my future boyfriend. I never even date a guy at all. I'm ready to have a Christian boyfriend. I guess, God is not ready for me, to have a boyfriend. I thought by now, I'll have a Christian boyfriend. We will be in serious relationship. I even pray about it. But, God hasn't answer my prayers. I'm always impatient young lady. I tried my best be so patient. I just don't get it. Younger girls who are younger than me. Got boyfriends. But me, none. Not once, I have ever been on date. Not in high school, in my 20's, & my 30's. I always want know, what date is like beside seeing in movies & tv shows. But, that's acting. Their acting of being on date. Someone said, maybe I'm not ready to have a boyfriend. I'm ready. I been ready since, I was 9. When I saw Father Of The Bride. (1991 film.) Well, maybe the wedding part. Laughing

Before you know it. My older niece will have a boyfriend. (In 5 or 6 years later.) I hope, I'm not still have no boyfriend, when she's starts dating her future boyfriend.

Sorry about this rant. But, I need this off my chest. Don't want discuss on Facebook or twitter.

Awww.

I can really understand how you feel, although I am younger, I remember feeling the same way. Honestly, what really helped me while waiting was a book called, "When God Writes Your Love Story". (The Expanded Edition.) I have recommended it to many of my friends and they purchased it and it has helped them tremendously while waiting. A friend of mine gave it to me as a gift even because of how lonely I was. It is so encouraging.

Remember, everything happens in God's timing, and God's timing is always perfect, always right. It may seem slow to us, but in the end, everything will make sense and be right.

I understand how you feel. I feel the same why. All my friends pretty much have kids..I feel left behind.

That's wonderful advice, Julia. Sometimes we all forget that.

Melissa, I'm sorry you're sad about this. My only advice is to just try to be the happiest, healthiest most wonderful 'you' that you can be, and know that if it's meant to be, it will happen, in time. Stay positive! One of my friends didn't meet her match until she was 39. You just never know! Smile

I wish I had something of comfort to say that would make you feel better. I know that God is infinitely wise and He has a plan for you.

Although you might think that He's not answering your prayers, He is listening and may be responding in a way that is not immediately apparent to you. I can imagine it's pretty hard work for the Big Guy to bring together 2 people who are meant for each other....especially when distance and "everyday life" is in play. He may have a person in mind for you, but for what ever reason, the timing just isn't right. Smile
