I think it would be cool if someone got the rights to write a book about the TV series. Have photos from the show, episode guide, cast biogrophies.

I've said that for years, so manylong running shows have done it, The Waltons, Happy Days, MASH, Law & Order, etc.
I don't know why even after Ed Friendly passed away, no one will do anything. Will that go on forever? Kent McCray didn't seem to know what was going on now.

Do you have the book that was put together to go with the Season 9 set? It's very comprehensive--not quite what you're talking about but it's like and A to Z LHOP guide or something if I remember right.

Was that part of the DVD collection or sold separately? I've never seen one even as a "used" copy.

I've ALWAYS wanted a book like this. I have a book about "TAXI"! If there is a book about "TAXI", you'd think there would be a book about "Little House on the Prairie"! I would like a bigger, even more comprehensive book than just the DVD one.

Another thing I always wished they would have is a CD of the music from the show. There is enough that they could have on there. And then I saw a review of one of the DVD's on Amazon and this guy wrote the same thing! He said he wished there would be a CD, too. It is too bad that they don't do just a little bit more for the fans (i.e. the book and CD).

I don't know why, it was a popular thing with other shows and LHOP was popular but it might have been a copyright issue. Music.....some nice but no more "Bringing in the Sheaves"! LOL

I was surprised beyond lunchboxes and one game, no one wanted the money from making a Little House dollhouse and farm, you didn't need to have their characters (more money issues) but generic dolls, or had real dolls like "Barbies" not the Ashton Drake ones that I personally thought looked nothing like them. Some of the Barbie-type dolls were done very well with other shows.

But they didn't want too, they did for Bonanza, books, toys, movies, etc.

Laughing I can just imagine them having the cast on their singing and then you hear Michael Landon's voice booming over everyone else's. Seriously, just listen. He is louder than anyone else in Walnut Grove! HeeHee

Oh, I like the idea of a LH dollhouse and farm! Actually, that gives me an idea. You know how they have those little light up houses? In fact, they don't even have to light up. They could just be little ceramic versions of the buildings in the town. Now I like that idea a lot. yes I have the Ashton Drake dolls (the only one I never got was Almanzo - I still really can't remember why not). I think Barbie versions would be interesting to see. That wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Yes, a reference guide like the Bonanza one would be good.

I would have loved a Christmas village set, the church lit up, wreathes on the windows, horse and carriages...so many good ideas, but alas no takers.
