During a ceremony in St. Peter's Square yesterday, Pope Francis was joined by two children who released white doves as part of the proceedings...

In a vulgar display of anti-Catholic bigotry, the doves were immediately attacked by a crow and a seagull.  Here we see one of the doves about to get bit right in the flying buttress.

Church officials described the attacking birds as "probably Episcopalians."

FUNNY! Glad they were okay though.

This must be the day for bird-on-bird violence. About an hour ago I looked out in the front yard and saw a hawk making a meal of a bluejay.  OhMy

So I was chuckling through this whole thread but it wasn't until I read this exact phrase that I busted out laughing. laugh3   And it's really not funny!  I'm glad he's ok!!  (Well, that is, if he's hasn't frozen to death. Yikes ).

Really?!?!  Gosh, it's been so long since I've seen any nature or even little woodland creature friends that visit our yard!  It's like EVERYTHING has vanished!! Blue
