Having said "good-bye" to Ma and Pa Ingalls and Laura's sister, Laura, Almanzo, and Rose make their way across the drought-stricken Midwest to the lush green valleys of southern Missouri. The journey is long and not always easy. But there is so much to do and see along the way. The end of this journey marks a new beginning for the Wilder family: a new home and the promise of hard work, but also of wondrous discoveries and adventures

| On The Way Home is Laura's diary of the Wilder's trip from DeSmet to Mansfield. Little House on Rocky Ridge is a story form of the same trip. This is the first book in the Rose years series of books that tells of Rose's growing up. There are 8 books in the series. Roger Lea MacBride was Rose's heir and knew her as a Grandmother figure as he was growing up. He wrote the books in a similiar fashion to Laura's books, easy to read, great for children. I highly recommend these books, I have just recently read them all. If you are interested in finding it, look on ebay. I've seen many copies at reasonable prices. Happy reading everyone!! _________________

| That's the exact same book I have. Same cover and all! I read some of it. It's really good. Beckie _________________ The only opinion about you that counts is your own.
