| In 1915 Laura traveled by train from her home in Missouri to San Francisco to visit her daughter, Rose Wilder Lane. Almanzo was unable to leave Rocky Ridge, and her daily letters home to Almanzo compose this book.
This thread is for discussion of West From Home. _________________

| I thought it was sad that Almanzo couldn't travel with her to visit Rose, but I still enjoy reading the books and her letters to him. They had such a strong relationship. _________________

| I really like this book.. Although I still wonder what Laura would have thought about all of her personal letters to Almanzo being published.. _________________

| I don't think I've ever read this whole book. I want to check this one and "On The Way Home" out of the library and get re-aquainted with them. _________________
