| I wish my sound was working......I had read another story about a soldier that wanted to re-enlist when the war started up, but his wife didn't want him to.....She became ill with cancer and died, and to help his grieving, he re-enlisted and went to Iraq. He befriended a dog while there and with only a few weeks left of his tour, he was killed. His group did all they could to send the dog home to his brother in the states. There was a lot of red tape to go thru, but the dog finally arrived at his brother's house.....it was a neat story......

| That's a neat story too Rhonda. This dog followed the soldiers 75 miles...they couldn't believe it when he arrived at their camp. The guy was told he needed to 'get rid' of the dog, because they're not allowed to 'keep' a dog. The story goes that through friends and family, the guy raised over $5000 to get the dog to the States...he's now a California dog! Pretty cool! _________________ |
