How many did you have? I had 23, which is a lot for me. It wasn't the nicest night, either - about 37 degrees, windy and misty.

We don't get many trick or treaters.

Jim and I took the younger boys out tonight. Here is a picture I took of them.

We had about 70. It was chilly, but at least it wasn't raining and the wind died down.

Tim did most of the passing out, so I'm just guessing around 30-40. There weren't hardly any lights on our street, so we didn't get as much as in years past. The weather wasn't too bad though. With the wind dying down, it was actually on the pleasant side while we were out walking.

Great picture, Susie.

We had one group of 4 kids who braved the rain and that was it. The temperature was very nice but the rain made it nasty.

Awesome picture Susie.

We have 60 kids on our street alone. I can't tell you numbers, but I went through 2 large bags of candy that have 3 bags of various fun size bars inside, 2 bags of Dum-Dum pops, and 6 or 7 other medium size bags of candy. I had 2 small bags left over, so I planned fairly well this year, unlike in the past when I've overbought and had Halloween candy sitting around here until Easter time.

It was very windy and rained a bit here, but it was unseaonably warm at around 60; that coupled with it being a Saturday made us very busy. What surprised me was the number of older kids and adults who came out to trick-or-treat.

We didn't have any. Mom and dad were out to Mom's hockey game and there were people moving into the apartment in our basement. Maybe next year. But my mom bought goodies for the kids that we know in the houses around here. I don't think that she has made her deliveries yet. Since she wasn't here last night, she will have to go and deliver her treats instead of the kids coming here to get them. scratchead

LOL Debbie---enjoy! grinsmiley

This was the first year in 19 years (since my oldest was born) that I haven't passed out candy! Nick went to a friend's house, Brendan was home from college and off to friend's, my hubby had to work, and I had been out shopping with my mom, and forgot to pick up extra candy! It sure did feel weird!

Cheryl, we get a lot of teens that trick or treat...I am all for it, but I get upset at the ones that don't dress up in anything...more power to them if they want to do it, but they have to at least throw a sheet over themselves to be a ghost, you know? Wink Nick trick-or-treated in his friend's neighborhood...he was "Dwight" from "The Office" and was pretty darn funny. Thumbsup

A friend of mine brought up the fact that it's really not 'safe' anymore, (health-wise) to trick or treat, considering the "National Emergency" of the H1N1. Even churches around here are no longer having people shake hands, it's gotten that bad. But just think of the germs being spread through the candy wrappers. Ick. It was even on several of the news stations, the dangers of it and to make sure your kids wash their hands...but what about the people who passed them out? Huh? I didn't have the heart to tell Nick he couldn't go though because mom is being a germaphobe, you know? I'm not taking it to that extent, but I can guess the number of flu cases is going to be up in the next couple of weeks. Whistle

H1N1 is going around like wildfire around here, too, Amy. It's been going through my church, and through the schools....and the local "old folks home" decided to cancel the trick-or-treating and Halloween party they were having there. The residents were pretty disappointed that they wouldn't be seeing all of the children, but the people who run the home want to be as careful of the health of the residents as possible.

Yep, that makes sense to me, with the susceptibility of the elderly especially. I'm sure it was a tough decision for the staff, but they did the right thing.

I had around 120 pieces of candy, and we ran out after an hour.

We bought 5 bags and had 1 bag left. My girls brought back 2 huge bags of candies. The question now is what do we do with all the cnadies? They can't possibly eat them all...I won't let them anyway. Oh maybe I'll save them till next Halloween to pass them out..........they won't noticed the difference! Whistle laugh3

I was at the movies on Saturday night, but I know that no trick-or-treaters came to our house. our driveway is about 1/4 of a mile long and in all the years we've lived in this house, we've had no more than 2 trick-or-treaters

We only had 15! I could not believe it. The weather sucked, but that usually doesn't stop them.
