| I was thinking about illustrators last night. I love the illustrations that Garth Williams did for the Little House books......They add so much to the stories! And, of course, Tasha Tudor's illustrations.......She's an amazingly talented artist. So, anyway.....I was looking at some of their work online (and wishing that I had that kind of talent!) And it made me start to wonder who some of your favorite illustrators are.
I'm pretty sure you've all seen Garth Williams' work. Here are a few pictures by Tasha Tudor:

This third one reminds me of Rachel and Opie.

And, this fourth picture is titled "Laura". It isn't "our" Laura, but I liked the title anyway.

Wouldn't you love to be able to make artwork like that?
So, do you have any favorite illustrators? I know that I have more favorites than just these two, but I can't think of them right now. LOL! _________________

| Having been such a Civil War buff in my youth, the first illustrator that usually comes to my mind is Don Troiani:

A good bit of his work can be found here...

| One favorite is Maurice Sendak, who wrote and illustrated 'Where the Wild Things Are'. Go to this site and see where you can buy posters of the story... Maurice Sendak

I also like Felicia Bond's illustrations.....she illustrated Laura Numeroff's "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" "If You Give a Moose a Muffin" and "If You Give a Pig a Pancake" and others. _________________

| These are all great everyone!! Savannah I really like the 2nd picture you posted.... what a beautiful ullustration.
One of my favorite illustrations is 'The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe'. There are so many different illustrations and I can't really find the one I'm looking for but this one comes close. I have a plate that I've had since I was a toddler and it has the illustration in it... Just by looking at the picture I could imagine what they were saying to each other, or what was going on inside the shoe LOL
