Ooooooh, Susie! I think you'd like it. It's set in the early 1900's in the mountains. A young woman (Christy Huddleson) leaves her very comfortable home in Asheville to teach in a mountain-cove mission school. It's an awesome series. It's out on dvd. I just bought the series last week. The whole series was only $20!

Ruby Mae is funny, Jacob!

OH! I forgot to mention that it's based on a true story.

Well, I loved the movie and the book, I can't count how many times I've read that book, unfortunately, the television series started off pretty good but it got way too goofy for my taste, although Kellie Martin was excellent as Christy Huddleston. I would definitely recommend to anyone that is interested, to watch the pilot movie.
