Gee, I wonder if Kathy will be watching this time around? I see a certain someone on there she likes!
Personally, I am all "Osmonded-out". Marie got on my last nerve when she was on, and Donny really ran the media circuit during her season, and became almost as obnoxious. I've always been a Donny fan, until Marie's DwtS season! Sorry Kathy!
As for everyone else on the list, I'm not seeing anyone too terribly interesting! I'll probably watch a show here or there, but like last season, I probably won't get into it. I was REALLY hoping they'd get Joe Lando on there, from Dr. Quinn. He had expressed an interest in doing it, and he is still in great shape and has a great personality. Not really a celeb anymore of 'today', but who is on this show anymore?!

I didn't know too much about Donny until the DWTS show. I remember EXTRA and ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT really pumping up not just Marie, but Donny as well. They would say things like: "Stay tuned for some rare video footage of the Osmonds backstage!"
Or Donny would come on and say: "Hey! Stay with us you DON'T want to miss some old footage of my sister and I!" or "Here is a treat! Some rare footage of my sister and I during Christmas"
I said to myself, "Wow... what a privilege it is for us that he's showing these videos"
The footage was just as exciting as watching grass grow. LOL

Well, I grew up on the Donny and Marie show (I LOVED it, LIVED for it, LOL...had the Donny & Marie Barbie dolls, lunchbox, etc...), so for me, I DID love watching the old clips of that stuff and their childhood. It's just that everywhere you turned around during the DwtS thing, there he (AND she seemed to be). The fact that they're both on the hyper side, and she especially laughs at her own (ahem, lame) jokes, it's just too much for me.

Well, he's no Chuck Liddell or Louie Vito.
This show puzzles me. It's a huge hit, so you'd think they'd attract more A-list celebs.

I'm not sure which creeps me out more: the thought of Tom DeLay dancing or Kelly Osbourne showing her face in public. {Shudder}
:Hahaha: I think if I ever do watch even a smigen of it, I'll go for the Food Network guy..only because we watch that channel & I'm curious to see who he is.

True, how can he compete with that? LOL! I don't know Rob...it IS strange. And I liked this show the first few seasons, but it hasn't kept my attention like the other reality shows I like (AI & Survivor).

I'm with ya, sister.
There was an article about DWtS in this morning's USAToday. Louie Vito, the snowboarder, said that he's never danced in his life, and he's never even seen the show. This is a good candidate... why?

I have to agree with you on this part Amy. I'm not a fan of this show, but I'll be interested to see if Donny makes it as far as Marie did.

I don't think I'll be able to stay away for a little while...I'm going to want to see him do at least a few dances. My guess is he'll be pretty good...
And Rob, I kind of like it that Louie has no dancing experience (I'd rather have that than the overqualified ones), but good grief, to have NEVER seen the show before?! Hmmm....

So is anybody watching? I decided to watch last week.
Here are my favorites!
FROM THE GIRLS
Kelly Osbourne I loved her! lol I used to see her family show... she looks so different, I'm rooting for her.
Melissa Joan Hart Grew up with this girl! She has some potential... I'm rooting for her.
Mya This girl can moooove! Thinking she can go far.
Natalie Coughlin I remember watching her in the olympics. I hope she goes far... has some good potential.
FROM THE GUYS
Aaron Carter He sure has grown up! I'm rooting for him, he's my favorite of the guys.
Mark Dacascos Aaron better watch out for this guy... he can move!
Should be interesting!
I do not like Donny... way to over the top for me, but at times I feel bad because he looks like a nice person and I feel bad that he gets on my nerves... but sometimes he acts too cocky or something... lol
Kathy Ireland.... what can I say?... she needs to work those hips! Compared to her team mates, her dancing was ... not good...

Mark Dacascos!!! Now I know who he is! I am totally shocked! He is the "chairman" on "Iron Chef America." He isn't actually the chef, he oversees it all.

I turned it on during the guy's night just to see if Donny was on....I thought he did a great job, but I agree with you Carol, he's over the top. Ahem, just like his sister. They are 'born performers', but I just find myself being annoyed more than anything. If he can mellow out a bit, I think he could go a ways. If not, I think he's going to turn a lot of people off.
Thanks for posting that video Carol---I loved it! I loved they they didn't even change the Dirty Dancing choreography---it was exactly like the movie! So neat.

Okay I'm watching too. I love Kelly, and Melissa. Sorry girls....once a Donny fan...always..... . It might not be fair to have those natural preformers on there like he is, but I do enjoy him. The Patrick Swayze tribute was awesome. I need to get Dirty Dancing.....Ghost,......he did so well in all he did. Most of all I love his lifetime commentment to his wife. Thats what hollywood needs to take from him the most.

Debbie and Aaron sure have an attitude this week. That 4 day pressure sure got to them. Kelly will be fine...just needs to focus on what she CAN do in that short amount of time. Melissa is still one of my favorites, although I thought last nights was a bit TOO cute. Top picks were Donny, Chuck, and Natalie. Poor Tom, you could see the PAIN in his face. Kathy is so sweet, but I really don't think she has it because she is so tall. I thought the Muppet song was really creative.....Aaron looks terrible in green though...lol.
