It just goes to show u just because your rich and famous doesn't mean u can get away with stuff and the rich and famous are people just like us only they have more money and some think they are better that us and can get away with more. The deak with Paris Hilton just goes to show u that they can get punished fro breaking the law just like us regular folks

I don't feel sorry for her for going to jail. She brought that on herself. But I do feel sorry for her in that her whole life seems to be one big self-centered, empty circle. What has she done that could be called fulfilling? What can she look back on, and be proud of having done for others? When she's older, what can she look back on, and say "This is what I've done to make the world a little better"? If she had no money...she'd have no life. And that is truly sad.

Hilton Urges Fans To Help Keep Her Out of Jail

Paris Hilton is calling on her fans to help her stay out of jail - by endorsing an online petition they can sign. The desperate socialite, who was sentenced to serve 45 days in jail last week after violating terms of her 2006 drink-driving arrest, has teamed up with a pal called Joshua to urge fans to help her. In a post on her MySpace blog, Hilton, who is also asking California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to pardon her, writes, "My friend Joshua started this petition. Please help and sign it. I love you all!" The petition, which is addressed to Schwarzenegger, claims "the American public who support Paris are shocked, dismayed and appalled by how Paris has been the person to be used as an example that drunk driving is wrong. She provides hope for young people all over the US and the world. She provides beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives. If the late former President Gerald Ford could find it in his heart to pardon the late former President Richard Nixon after his mistake(s), we undeniably support Paris Hilton being pardoned for her honest mistake as well." Hilton is due to start serving time by June 5 if her appeal fails, after being sentenced at a hearing at Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday.

Excuse me while I go find that site and sign the petition to keep Paris out of jail since she so adds excitement to my boring life........NOT!

Excuse me, but how does SHE give hope to millions of young people all over the world?!?! Is she doing ANYTHING with her money other than party and attempt to look good? She is NO example, other than that of a spoiled little rich girl. Ugh, if Arnold pardons her!!!! And if the law wants to use her as an example, why the heck shouldn't they?! Well, it's certainly true that Paris's beauty is the only thing that keeps me going in this otherwise lackluster world. scratch

But... does she really think that any self-respecting judge would overturn a sentence based on a petition signed by a bunch of fans? For that matter, does Paris have a bunch of fans?

Well of course all her "male" fans will probly sign....(well some of them)

It's a very sore spot with me right now for people to live completely for themselves - to think only of their own enjoyment and what profits THEM. ARGH!

And, I'm not trying to be catty, but I just don't see what everyone else apparently sees. I mean.......she's not ugly, but I just don't see any stunning beauty in her. *shrugs*
