We are sorry to announce the passing this week of Sue Upshaw, a longtime friend of the Wilder Home & Museum. She was 82. Sue and her mother Mary Swanzey Harris, were among the first visitors to the Wilder Home when it opened to the public. Mrs. Harris was the stepdaughter of Carrie Ingalls Swanzey. Her donation of Ingalls family belongings forms the nucleus of the oldest artifacts now on display in the museum. Sue and her family have been faithful, regular visitors to the Home & Museum. She will be greatly missed by her large family, friends, and Wilder associates.
