Yes. Shortly after my Dad passed away in 2005, I was approached by a man in the grocery store who greeted me warmly, offered his condolences, and told me to call him if there was anything he could do. I had no idea who he was. I've seen him dozens of times since then, and I still don't know who he is. It's always: "Hi, Rob!" "Hey, how's it going... buddy?"
