Who'll be watching? Anybody here in the area of totality? It'll be about 90% where I am. And it looks like we'll have clear skies!

We were in the 95% zone. It was so fascinating to see! I brought a pair of eclipse sunglasses to work, and we all took turns looking at it through them!

I was in the 100% zone at Wyatt's house! I picked him up from school and brought him home. We were worried about him taking the special glasses off and looking directly into the sun...He did alright with them...but it was hard for him to "find" the sun to watch after putting the glasses on...TOO CUTE!  CoolG

I watched in amazement when the moon fully covered the sun and just for a second, or two, and it was absolutely BLACK! Then, the sun made its 'halo glow' around it! So many people here thought it was going to be a 'nighttime' darkness, but I knew it wouldn't be since it didn't do that back in 2017 when I drove to an area that was in the 100% zone...Now, when I came into the house...it was DARK in there and needed lights turned on if one were to stay in!

My oldest son and his daughter, my granddaughter, came over to watch the eclipse with us and he took some pretty cool pictures with his phone while holding the glasses to the lens of the camera. The first 3 pictures are during the eclipse and the last one is during totality when we were able to take the glasses off. If you can enlarge that one, you can see Venus to the right, and down.

Very cool, Rhonda! I was hoping you'd be in (or have quick access to) totality!

yesss YEP! Whether I stayed home in Missouri or traveled to Arkansas, both places would've served their purpose!
