That's cool, Savannah. Not a lot of people watch LH, some folks nowadays never even heard of it. So, when you do hear people say that they love LH, or that they grew up watching it, you feel like, hey, he's/she's one of us. :woohooo:

I might've told this story before, so I'm sorry if I'm repeating myself.

I knew a guy who grew up in Southern California back in the '60s. One night he took his little sister, who was 7 or 8 at the time, to a Dodgers game. The great Don Drysdale was their star pitcher, and when the guy told his sister that Drysdale was scheduled to pitch, she got very excited. He wasn't sure why, because she wasn't a big baseball fan.

When the game started and Drysdale took the mound, the little girl burst into tears. She thought the pitcher was going to be Mr. Drysdale of the Beverly Hillbillies.

Beverly Hillbillies are just funny! I loved to watch it. Oh..those old fashioned TV shows...How I miss them! :haha: Here, we call it "Los Beverly Ricos" .

When I was at a book sale, a sixty-ish year old lady came up to me and asked me if I'd seen any of the Little House books. I showed them to her, and she thanked me. Then she asked me if the books were any good! ~laughs~

That's just too cool, Vanesa! I didn't realize that The Beverly Hillbillies could be seen outside of the U.S.!

Ellie Mae, from Beverly Hillbillies, and Lisa from Green Acres, always reminded me of a saying that my Mom always used to tell me: "A pretty face is poor compensation for an empty head" :Hahaha: Those two are hilarious, though!

I think that here we saw almost all American sitcoms from the "Golden Years". How can we miss this one? It was really, but really hilarious!

And, yes Savannah...Your mother's proverbe was more than true! But the bad thing is when a pretty face relates to a head plenty of BAD ideas...as in the case of Nellie Oleson!
