While I'm waiting....

I'm still here at the hospital, waiting for them to release my Dad. So, while I wait, I'm here at the Prairie. (I thought we'd only be here a short time today, so I didn't bring a book, or stitching, or anything!)

So.......While I'm waiting, I thought I'd share with you all what Opie has now learned how to do. And - How I found out that he knows how to do this. :haha:

I was relaxing in a bubble bath last night, when I saw Opie climb out from behind the tub. I usually don't let him in the bathroom when I'm taking a bath because he tries to jump in. Well, apparently, he was getting bored with being stuck in the bathroom, and not being able to play in the water. So, he went over to the door, stood on his back legs, reached up with his paws, and OPENED the bathroom door! :Hahaha: He's the third cat I've had over the years, and he's the only one of them who has figured out how to do that. So much for "relaxing" in a bubble bath!! LOL!

We have a cat that tries to open doors....He stands way tall and puts those paws on the knob....some day tho.....he is going to open it!!!

I have that problem with my 2 yr old nephew and my brother's dog. Our bathroom door handle is hard to open for most of us so we thought Aaron (nephew) would have a hard time with it. NOPE!! And little Teddy pushes the door open if it's left open a crack. Usually its my mom who is on the throne when he goes in, lol.

Awww...good boy Opie...mommy needs her privacy when taking a bath. :haha:

It's amazing how a cat could open a door. I know dogs who can do t, but CATS??? :think:

When we were at the hospital today, there was a "Book Fair" in the cafeteria. They were selling a book called "Cat Behavior: How to Understand Your Cat" (or something like that). My sister-in-law, Krista, picked it up, and said to me "There's no way they have a chapter to explain Opie". :Hahaha:

Oscar goes with me any time I go into the bathroom. That's just his way. No matter what I'm doing, there's Oscar. I've just come to accept it.

I remember seeing a video of a cat that... when holding her over water... she starts moving her paws like she's gonna take a swim
She's not even in the water yet.... but I guess she thinks she better get ready to be put on it or something

Awww. Nice! My dog does the same when my mother is in the bathroom taking a bath.He cries near the door. He is MY MOTHER's dog and he wants to be wherever she is.
