PostSubject: A new museum in the works....   Wed May 21, 2008 12:46 pm

I'd mentioned Tasha Tudor before, and how much I enjoy her art work......Well, I happened across a website that mentioned that a Tasha Tudor Museum is in the works! How cool is THAT! I think it's going to be sort of a Henry Ford Museum-style place, where there will be activities based on her books, etc. They don't have the land yet, though. They're wanting to buy an existing, centuries-old, two-story farm house.

This picture that she drew reminds me of Michael when he was little:

Such a talented artist... Love

And here's a photo of Tasha Tudor:

They're hoping to open the museum in 2010. I think they'd better get in gear! At any rate.......I thought it was pretty cool, so, I thought I'd mention it to you all, since I've rambled at you about Tasha before. grinsmiley

Thank you. Cool I really would love that. My Mom and I used to read Tasha's books to the children quite often........The art work in them is so charming. I have to echo Rhonda's sentiment.....I wish I had Tasha's talent!

Here's one that Rachel likes really well:

I'm glad that you like it. Cool A lot of her books are very old, and out of print. So, whenever I find one at a yard sale or whatever, I'm THRILLED.

Jacob, she mostly wrote children's books.........though she did write several books outside of that genre. Here's a picture from Rachel's favorite, Becky's Birthday:

And she has a book that tells about the different holidays, and how they used to celebrate them years and years ago:

And, a book about how to make beautiful, homemade gifts:

Lots more, too.

Vanesa, probably most people here in America aren't familiar with her, either. Her books first began to be published about 70 years ago. Some are much more recent...........But my favorites are quite old. Yes, Jacob - if you see any Tasha Tudor books at book sales, by all means get them if they're reasonably priced. Her books are all out of print, and sell for ridiculous prices. If nothing else, you could resell them on ebay or something. grinsmiley

I think having a museum for Tasha Tudor's work is an awesome idea, especially being that all of her books are out of print now. I hope you will fulfill your dream of visiting it one day. Cloud 9
