“Mr. Edward’s Homecoming”

While Charles is in Mankato, he runs into Mr. Edwards and invites him to come to Walnut Grove. Caroline tries to match Mr. Edwards up with Grace Snider, but instead she just ends up in the way since Mr. Edwards is able to charm Grace all by himself. Although there are a couple problems that must be overcome, things turn out for the best in the end.

I really enjoy this episode. The ending of the Pilot episode is so sad when Mr. Edwards says goodbye to the Ingalls, so it was really great to see him back with them again!
It is so hilarious how Grace keeps looking at Mr. Edwards thinking he is drinking on the job. There is also a scene when she discovers it’s water and Mr. Hanson walks in on her drinking and looks shocked. [shocked] After Grace walks off Mr. Hanson tells Mr. Edwards he’s surprised and all Mr. Edwards says is “Oh, it’s always the quiet ones” and nods his head and so does Mr. Hanson. Too funny! Applause ROTFL
Love this episode, two thumbs up!!! Thumbsup Thumbsup

Yes me too! Tht wasn´t the Mr Edwards as we wanted him. Not the Mr Edwards who sang Old Dan Tucker, who taught Laura how to spit and who had so many troubles taking care of the children in Ma´s Holiday (I think it was that episode)

Hum...Yes. I was thinking just the same since some days by now. I don't like how the writers made him tro broke with Grace. I liked this couple so much...And I was heartbroken for Alicia, who loved her daddy so much. No bawling

Anyone has any ideas on why they changed it. I´m curious cause I can´t find any reasonable explanation for it. Maybe they needed some tension Huh?

has t there ' him more perfume of melisse
veils the plant of melisse Wink

The mélisse

First of all, the mélisse: she/it supports any type of soil,
but prefers the cool and deep earths. For the harvest
one makes it traditionally to the Saint Jean, the
morning and by dry time. It is in his/her/its leaves
that concentrate the main thing of his/her/its virtues.
She/it has a perfume very close to the citronella.

She/it has some stimulating properties and will give
back the tonus psychologically to the tired people
(melancholic, tormented not of life problems daily,
worried, depressed, etc.). Very efficient to help to
fight the nervous breakdown she/it is also antispasmodique
and will relieve various unrest thus due to the anguish

or to the contraction and affecting the digestive device,
the nervous system, the heart, the respiratory system,
etc... She/it will alleviate besides various pains
(stomach, teeth, head, ears), and in external use
the rheumatic pains, neuralgias, bruises and wounds.

Mr. Edwards - Biography

Laura fondly writes of Mr. Edwards, the wildcat from Tennessee throughout her series of books. Mr. Edwards was the one who made sure Laura and her sisters got their Christmas gifts from Santa Claus in Little House on the Prairie. It is also Mr. Edwards who gives Mary a twenty dollar bill to start off her college education fund. But in reality, Mr. Edwards did not exist.

It is believed that the real Mr. Edwards was actually a Mr. Edmund Mason, who is buried in the Harrison Cemetery in Independence, Kansas. It is unlikely, however, that he would have returned to Independence, after supposedly meeting up with the Ingalls in De Smet, South Dakota. However, there are many other possible people who could have been Laura's Mr. Edwards, people she wrote about in her first biographical memoirs, Pioneer Girl, and those who have shown up in the Independence Census.

It is also speculated that Mr. Edwards is a completely made-up person, whom Laura gave the traits and actions of people she knew who did kind deeds for the Ingalls throughout the years. Mr. Edwards is a mystery to all but the Ingalls family themselves, and hopefully more research will prove without a doubt who Mr. Edwards of the Little House books really was.

Aww and I thought Mr. Edwards was one the the characters that were in her life for real.

Wow, Ma Ingalls live until the 1920's? Or was that Mary?

I think Edwards was a real person, we are just not sure of his real name. During the pioneer days, people from all over were helping each other out in order to survive, and who knows what this Wildcat from Tennessee real name was. He made enough of an impression on Laura when she was little, she felt she needed to mention him in her books.....to me, Mr. Edwards is real and a true friend to the Ingalls' family, and the one who taught Laura how to spit! grinsmiley

Yes. He was. There is some speculation about who could he have really been. It's like the case of Nellie Oleson. Of course, she was for real! Only that in Walnut Grove she was named Nellie Owens (and she also had a little brother named Willie), and in De Smet Genny Masters and Stella Gilbert. But they were real people. Something similar happend to Mr. Edwards, for sure.

Vanesa.
