In addition to stories of life on the set, Melissa offers revealing looks at her relationships off-set with her costars, including the other Melissa (Melissa Gilbert) and Alison Arngrim, who portrayed Nellie Oleson on the show. And she relates stories of her guest appearances on iconic programs such as The Love Boat and The Brady Bunch.

Filled with personal, revealing anecdotes and memorabilia from the Little House years, this book is also a portrait of a child star who became a successful adult actress and a successful adult. These are stories from “the other Ingalls sister” that have never been told.

I've pre-ordered this one, and the one by Alison Arngrim that is coming out around the same time. I'm excited about this one, as it seems MSA was on the outside of things and she's gotten some bad press about her time on LHOP. It will be nice to hear her side of the story.

Now, if Dean Butler can be convinced to write his story, I'll be in heaven.

I'm another that is ready to see Melissa Sue's story. When I first got on these forums I was focused more on Melissa Gilbert, not really looking at Melissa Sue as closely. But what I found her to be is very talented to do the work she did. She had a hard role, and she did it wonderfully.
As a Mom myself I respect her for stepping down out of the spotlight to raise her family. I really can't wait to read all she has to share.
Allison's should be funny and I'm looking forward to that one as well.

Wow, that sounds amazing! I think she was a phenomenal actress. Her story lines seemed more dramatic than Melissa Gilbert's on the show.

Yes I'm looking forward to this too. I'd imagine it'll be very different to MG's memoirs.

I'm so looking forward to those two books. I liked Melissa Gilberts book really much. It's so interesting to read how the actresses remember their time with LHOP

Did anyone see a recent tabloid interview with her, discussing the contents of her book? I thought it would have raised remarks, but have found no reference to it online including on her Internet Movie Database message board.

The article says she renounced her American citizenship, only the word used is "denounced." If she "renounced" it only, why, when she could have kept both? If she "denounced" it, how? What, exactly, if anything, did she say against her own citizenship, or America in general?

I don't pay much attention to anything in tabloids. They take one tiny shred of truth and alter it until it resembles nothing close to the truth.

I hadn't heard that MSA denounced/renounced her American citizenship, but if she did, maybe she'll talk about it in her book.

This book came in today. Some of the divas are already reading or have read it. There are some neat photos in it. Hopefully I can make time to read it soon.

In any case, this combined with Alison's and Melissa Gilbert's books should form the trifecta proving different people see the same things differently.

Got an E-mail from Amazon yesterday to say mine's in the post! Can't wait.

I got mine a week ago and finished it yesterday. Absolutely loved it. Its very different to Melissa Gilberts book, but that just shows how different people are. I would have liked it, if there had been more informations. But I liked the information about the shooting of the show. And the way she wrote the book is very nice.

Now I'm waiting impatiently until my copy of Alisons book arrive.

I wish I could read it! It sounds as a "must" to any fan of LHOTP. The book is too much expensive for me to afford. As I've already say about "Caroline Years" , our money has devaluated and foreign books are too much expensive for me.

But I know you're my friends and you'll tell me what the book is about ! I know it should be intersting. So, people: read it and tell me which issues she tells about. O.K?
