| pictures from my family's trip to Washington DC! August 2008  the outside of the Smithsonian Museum Of Natural History. I was amazed at the size of this building!!!!  the Wright Brothers' 1903 Flyer inside the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum  the Hope Diamond in the Museum Of Natural History. The largest blue diamond in the world, it was beautiful!  The Vietnam Wall  me next to the Lincoln Memorial. I'm 5'4" tall  the Korean War Memorial  Me in front of the Reflecting Pool  half a mile from the White House  The Changing Of The Guard at the Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier at Arlington Cemetary | |

| has anyone here ever been to the top of the Washington Monument? It was open the day I saw the monument but I was too scared to go inside it? | |

| there's a Wright Brothers Memorial in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. I think the flyer I took a picture of should be with the memorial! | |

| Those are really great pictures  . I've been to the top of the Washington Monument when I was a lot younger. I was pretty disappointed that I couldn't see our house from way up there, after all you could see for miles! I guess it was hidden behind all the tree tops :Hahaha:  Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow. | |
