Has anyone been watching this show on National Geographic?

Having graduated from and high school and college and gotten married in that decade, it has been interesting to watch.

Yes, I saw it! Thumbsup
In the 80s I was between 4 and 13 years old... I was an 80s child. Check out my 80s Child Pinterest Board grinsmiley

I do remember how excited I got when we got out first VCR. When we got Nintendo!
I was into space a lot as a kid and watching the Challenger explode was very hard... now I understand why a teacher was chosen to go in that flight.
I also remember the Berlin wall come down... pretty wild!

I'll never forget when we got a VCR for my parents for Christmas. It was a BIG deal. We still own one! In many ways, they're just plain easier. Yikes

I was 16 years old when the Challenger exploded and sitting in History class watching it live, like probably every other classroom in America. I'll never forget that moment, and all the tears in that class that day. It was unreal. No

For the record, growing up in the 80's was awesome. I was 10-20 in the 80's. It was a GREAT decade and I have great memories. Smile

I still have one in my room lol
Yes... We were beyond happy to have a VCR and what made it even more awesome was that my cousin worked at a video store and so we could go there and get a free movie each time we went. I remember one time that extended family had slept over, we had recently bought the VCR, and in the morning, first thing we did was pop in a movie. It was Three Men and a Baby greenS

I believe they said that the cost of the first VCRs was equivalent to $3500 in today's money.

I think that my parents and cousin paid less than $300 for the one we got...
I found this commercial from 1986

Last weekend, I popped in a VHS movie I had recorded from TV and saw the horrific picture quality on my HD TV Laughing
It had been quite a while since I had seen a VHS tape. On my OLD tv, the movie looks great, but on the new TV... oh boy... not very good at all. I will have to convert certain movies to DVD so I can watch them again on the new TV lol
