To Run and Hide -- Where Was Laura?

Subject: To Run and Hide -- Where Was Laura? Sat Feb 24, 2007 8:49 am

I recently watched To Run and Hide (Doc Baker retires and tries farming after losing a patient), and I noticed that Laura did not appear at all in this episode. That seemed odd to me, because all the other Ingalls appeared and had significant roles (even Carrie). It seemed odd to see Mary and Carrie walking home from school with no sign of Laura or no mention that she had gone off fishing or something. I'm wondering if perhaps Melissa Gilbert was unavailable to appear in this episode for some reason and was simply written out of the script. :unsure:

I've wondered about that too. I don't think I ever thought that MG could have been out sick, though. Why? I don't know, but it makes sense that she could have been sick. Even now, I always thought she was probably off filming for a movie or guest role on another TV show.
Wasn't every actor/actress on planet Earth on "The Love Boat" and/or "Fantasy Island"? I bet that's where she was....getting more for her resume. :thankyou: I really have no clue. :haha:

I notices that, when I was watching Run and Hide episode. Maybe Melissa Gilbert was sick in real life. Because, I notices the next episode Aftermath. She was in there. But, she didn't have much speaking lines. She had one small line. Towards the end of Aftermath.
