this was a problem for my family last year and it's beginning to be a problem this year: we have chipmunks in our barn! does anyone have any suggestions on how we could get rid of them without harming them?

 I've heard that chipmunks dislike the smell of bloodmeal, and that if you sprinkle it around, they leave because of the odor. It isn't supposed to smell strong enough for people to be bothered by it.

Another suggestion that I've heard before is to mix baby powder and cayenne pepper and sprinkle that around the areas where they nibble a lot.

I haven't ever had to try these, though, so I can't speak for how accurate the information is.

I'm going to tell my mom about this idea and maybe we'll try it. thanks for the suggestions! we have birds in our barn too but all they do is try to build nests. and we did have moles in our yard a few years ago but my dog got rid of them.
