Laughing Not very accurate at allllllllll. But still very enjoyable.

In real life:
Mary never married. (And never had children.)
The Ingalls family never adopted Albert, or Cassandra, or James.
Laura and Almanzo didn't adopt, or take in Jenny. (Who never existed.)
Eliza Jane didn't like Laura, and the feeling was mutual. Eliza Jane was a rather harsh teacher.
The Ingalls moved a LOT, and didn't settle in Walnut Grove permanently, or even semi-permanently.
The list goes on - but the show was still VERY enjoyable, and did a lot to keep the Little House books in the public eye. Michael Landon did a wonderful job creating an adaptation of the books.

Probably one of the most intelligent statements ever made on this forum!

"Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?"
"I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time."

I was skimming through Melissa Gilbert's cookbook at the store one day and she said a lot of dramatic license was taken because if they had stuck with the books the series would have only been about nine episodes instead of the hundreds they ended up making. I'm sure they could have stretched the books a little more than that, but nowhere near nine seasons. I'm personally glad Michael Landon made Little House the way that he did.
