Going to Disney World!

My family and I will be leaving for Disney World on Monday afternoon. We'll be back on Friday, April 2nd. I love the Magic Kingdom! You're never too old to enjoy it.

Thanks, Cheryl! I've pretty much got everything packed. Just a few odds and ends to organize tomorrow. Our flight doesn't leave until 3:30, so at least I won't feel rushed.

Hope no one minds me stealing this thread. The family is headed off to Disney tomorrow even before Pa Ingalls would have been out of bed. Hope you have a nice Memorial Day Weekend.

Thanks ladies. We visited all four parks--Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom--plus shopped at Downtown Disney. We had fun. The weather was good. Service wasn't as great as it was in 2011, but we still had a nice time.

How was the new Fantasyland?

Nice, but I think it looks better on TV than in real life. There's a new castle, which is impressive, and Ariel's ride was fun. Other than that, we stuck to the classic rides.

My favorite ride at Magic Kingdom is the Pirates of the Caribbean. And then the classic favorites: haunted mansion, Peter Pan, It's a Small World, Snow White.......................

We road Pirates at least three times. The oldest daughter loves Haunted Mansion, but the youngest doesn't care for it much, so we usually split up and ride different rides. I ended up going on the Tea Cups with the little one because the oldest can't stomach that ride.

The last night we were there, MK was open until 2AM. When we rode Small World there was only one other group riding it.

The last time we were there, there was no line at all for It's A Small World. People want the thrills or special effects, I guess. I wonder how much longer it will be around.

My favorite rides at Walt Disney World are Space Mountain, Pirates Of The Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion. I don't think I will ever go back there. It's almost $90.00 for one person. I can't ride the tea cups. I can't ride spinning rides anymore. I get so dizzy and sick.
