Hello everyone...
As many of you know, a few months back forumforfree started having problems. There are still times when the forumforfree forum slows down or is completely unavailable. The support forum for FFF (forumforfree) was shut down. Well... today by surprise.. after searching online to see what could have happened to FFF, I ran into the following website:
http://forum.forumer.com/It looks like they have taken all the boards that used to be under FFF. There is also the following message from the administrator on their support forum:
=====
(September 17, 2006)
Forumer agreed to acquire FFF, after FFF was attacked by hackers, and then followed a harddrive crash etc. In other words, it was a disaster, as it became too much to handle for the previous owner (who also was busy with other projects and did not have the resources to take care of FFF), Forumer stepped in and took control of it through acquisition. I would also like to say that that Roy, previous owner of FFF, did a great job by successfully growing FFF since 2004.
As of now, all the servers of FFF are fixed and all forums are up. (there probably are still some smaller bugs, but will eventually get fixed. We've been working on FFF for long hours, trying to get things fixed, recovering data and so forth)
We are planning on moving FFF servers to our data center (probably this month), to provide better security and hardware. FFF will not be integrated into Forumer, so, all the existing features of FFF (as well as its domain etc) will stay as is, we will only concentrate on making the forums more secure and more reliable.
We will try to provide FFF customers with adequate support here, and we hope that you will like being under Forumer's umbrella.
==========
Sooo..... it looks like FFF is under their support forum now. Our original forum is under server 2 of FFF and it looks like they are still fixing some bugs on it but do not have a time frame as to when everything will be fixed.
If you read their
Support Forum for FFF you will notice that a lot of people are still having problems with downtime and access since the transfer happened. Forumer says that they are working on the problems so it may be a matter of time until FFF is working well again. In the meantime, we have this backup forum for you to post at. It looks like the way FFF has been acting up lately, we might get more posts here than on the FFF forum.
I'll keep you updated as soon as I find out anything else.
