| Thank you all! Great news...the storm has dissipated! We're just going to get a lot of rain tomorrow and Monday, but that's about it! | |

| I'm happy it dissapated. There is another hurricane named Fred that is in the Atlantic. It's still a long way from Florida. We are expected some rain tomorrow and Tuesday here in Seminole. | |

| Wow. That is beautiful, Savannah. It's still warm in Florida. Next week, suppose to get down in the 60's at night. | |

| Finally a break from the blistering heat in the Northwest Florida Panhandle. 63 right now with a high of 73. I know the electric bill will get a break because we have been sleeping with the windows open at night (low 57 tonight). Normally in the summer months our AC runs nonstop from 6AM to 10PM (literally, it will NOT shut off it will run all day long and struggle to keep the house cool at 75). We live in a home built in the 1950's so the insulation wasn't that good. I had blow-in insulation put in a few years ago but even that didn't help. The attic was around 160 degrees in the summer. So last summer I installed an exhaust fan that it temperature controlled. It turns on when the attic gets 105 and it runs (in the summer) from about 8AM-6PM. But the attic is much cooler (not that we ever go in it anyway, there isn't even enough room to stand up in there and i hate going in the attic).
So Oct and Nov are great months temperature-wise as it starts to cool off. However by Wed we will be back in the 80's and have to close the windows and turn the AC back on. The humidity rarely changes here, living along the Gulf Coast it stays high year round. | |

| We had a couple thunderstorms that pass through pretty quick today. Suppose to be really windy tomorrow. Those poor people in the North Eastern part of the country getting all that snow. They could get over 2 feet of snow. You know it's bad when The Weather Channel's Jim Catore is on the scene. | |
