After years of living in the desert, it's nice to be able to sit at your breakfast table and watch a Beautiful Cardinal feed its young. The pictures were shot from my breakfast nook looking out towards my back yard..........All three chicks survived and flew last week...

"I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time."

Pretty!  I love cardinals.  Used to have several that came to my feeders, but I haven't seen any for a couple of years.

Also...

Beautiful bird. We got bird feeder. But, theirs been a problem. 1 baby bird died, an adult bird died, and my mom found squirrel's tail. It probably died. We don't know, who's killing the animals. We saw different kind of birds. We just bought a bird feeder a month ago.

What beautiful pictures of the cardinals Dave! Cardinals are one of my favorite birds and I don't see them very often. I am glad that all of the young ones survived.

The same male and female are visiting my garden regularly.....the books say they don't return to old nests, but they still check it out occasionally. I hope they use it again!
