Love Comes Softly vs Little House on the Prairie

Do the Love Comes Softly films have similarities to Little House on the Prairie?

Not sure how I never saw this before, but I would definitely say yes. The books came out in the late 70s, when LHOP was on TV. Two of the book blurbs from the series mention they are like LHOP.

Does anyone here enjoy these books or movies?

I really love the series Love Comes Softly...and Michael Landon Jr is one of the writers, so, he might have a bit of his dad's style there...I might need to try and find the movies to purchase since they aren't shown on TV very much.

I totally agree that Michael Landon Jr's style seemed very much like his father's in these movies. They are all on YouTube for free. Well, at least the original ones. Not sure about the prequels because I didn't look for them yet.

Yes, two of them are prequels about Clark and Ellen. The other one is a Christmas story about two of the Davis children.
