Maury Dexter died on 5/28/2017. Born Morris Gene Poindexter 6/12/1927 in Paris, Arkansas. Preceded in death by his mother Emma Foster Poindexter, father William Henry Poindexter and brothers Foster , William and James. He is survived by his niece Constance Durkin of Arkansas. A member of the Director's Guild since 1936, he once directed 20 films in a year's time for 20th Century Fox. By the 60's , he had his own production company,
but the apex of his career came when he became a director for Michael Landon's "Little House on the Prairie" and " Highway to Heaven".
