Rob and I were talking about this earlier today. Such sad news. I had hoped to be able to go to Mayberry Days and meet her. But I DO have her autograph, at least. And some photos that are special to me:

I was looking through Betty Lynn's biography on IMDB and I was surprised that out of 249 TAGS episodes, she was only in 26!!! Why did it seem like she was ALWAYS there?!?!? That's just crazy to me!!! I mean, she is probably best known for playing Barney's girl, Thelma Lou than any other character she played...

Isn't that weird? I also read that she earned only $500 per episode. I bet it was a bit galling when she saw actors getting a million per episode when her income from the entire run of the series was $13,000.
