| A few years ago I took my mom shopping. I was waiting in the car when I saw a middle-aged couple walking across the parking lot. The man was cradling a big bag of groceries in each arm, and his wife went on ahead to open the car trunk for him. About 20 feet from their car, his pants started falling down. He couldn't do a thing about it because his arms were full. All he could do was walk faster... which only seemed to hurry his pants along in their downward journey. I just remember seeing the look on his face - his eyes were as big as silver dollars. He yelled, " Honey, my pants!!!" His wife was very helpful. She collapsed against the car, laughing hysterically. By the time he got to the car, his pants were around his ankles. And the words " Honey, my pants!!!" were tattooed on my brain forever. :shifty: | |

| LOL Rob!!! When we were kids, there were 6 of us altogether 4 younger ones and 2 quite a few years beyond that. When the 2 older ones were gone, mom, dad and us 4 younger ones had gone to the grocery store. Being that mom didn't want to hassle with us, she left us in the car as her and daddy went inside to grab a few things. (Back then, you didn't worry about kids being kidnapped.....who would want us?:haha: ) Anyway, as they were headed out of the store, daddy was pushing the cart and mom was walking by his side, when all of the sudden, it started to "snow down south". Now some of you might know that that phrase tells us women that our slip is showing. Well, as they were walking, it REALLY started to snow down south!!! My dad looked back to see why mom was taking so long only to see that she now had a blizzard down around her ankles!!! Most women, at least I think most women, would've stepped out of the thing and either left it on the ground or quickly picked it up and hid it away..... Well..............not my mom She reached down, grabbed it up and shimmied it back up around her waist!!! My dad looked like an Indy driver with the cart trying to take the lead and get away from her. Needless to say, we kids were in the car ROARING with laughter and praying that no one would see which vehicle she was going to get into!!! :Hahaha:Savannah, I do hope you are laughing, because my sides are killing me from remembering this incident!!! CANCER FREE!!! April 9, 1998-April 9, 2025-I AM A SURVIVOR!!! | |

| Savannah, here's Barney Fife reciting the Preamble... always good for a laugh. Bloopers on The Andy Griffith Show were pretty rare, but there's a big one here. Midway through, notice how Barney's hair is messed up in the close-ups, but neatly combed in the wide shots. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dns4ONyM_-g&mode=related&search= | |

Aunt Bee singing "Too-too-tootsie" finally gave me a laugh. And then when she was "singing" Chinatown! And people said that Barney couldn't sing.....lol Barney reciting the Preamble is so very funny. . . . Thanks for posting that link!

| Just HAVE to share this:
As some of you know, I am a chilcare provider. My two 3-year olds are playing doctor with their Fisher Price doctor kit right now, and one is pretend 'whimpering'. The 'doctor' said to him, "Sir, why are you so sad?", to which the whimperer replied, "I'm sad because I have a frog in my throat! Please get it out!"
Out of the mouths of babes! :haha: “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| Okay, I remember something crazy that happened to me once. I was at a department store shopping for some clothes with a friend. My friend told me she noticed this lady who kept following us and how she would look at me. Sure enough there was a lady close by and several times she would stare at me. Where we went, she would follow and stare and it started to annoy me. She was around 60 years old. Anyway, she kept getting closer so I turned and looked at her and a little annoyed asked ‘Can I help you?’ The lady looked at me like she was about to cry so I asked if she was okay. She then told me that I looked so much like a daughter she had lost in a car accident recently. The resemblance was strong and said she could not stop staring at me. She told me that she missed her and started wiping away the tears in her face. I shook her hand and told her I was so sorry. She grabbed my hand and put it to her heart. My friend and I looked at each other feeling sorry for her. She told me a little bit about her daughter and then she got quiet and asked if I could do a favor for her, said that it was strange but just wanted to hear it. She said that she had to go but wondered if I could call her mom. She said that she would wave to me and that’s when she wanted me to say ‘Bye mom’ or something. I thought it was a little weird but said I would do it. So the lady went up to the cashier while I was still choosing what color of blouse I wanted to get and at the same time looked for her wave to me. I then saw her smile at me and wave. The cashier looked at me too. I said ‘Hey mom!’. It felt weird but did it because I felt sorry for the lady. Sooo… a few seconds right after I did that my friend and I walk up to pay for our stuff. The cashier tells me I owe $800. I laughed and said I was only buying a blouse. The cashier tells me: “Well honey, it’s not just the blouse. Your mom said you were together and so I checked her clothes first. She said she was going to get a cart at the front of the store to put the clothes in while you came in to pay.” I could not believe it. I told the cashier that the lady was not really my mom. My heart was racing now… I saw her by the entrance of the store looking back and leaving. I told my friend to stay there while I ran after that sneaky lady! When I got outside I kept yelling for her to wait. I saw her opening the car door and I ran faster. She was about to close the door when I grabbed it. I started pulling the lady’s leg …… just like I’m pulling the leg of all of you who have read this. … Bwwaahhahahaha!!! | |

| I have a Supermarket story. When I was, maybe about 12 or 14, I don't remember exactly, I went to the store with my mom. We were in the "snack food" aisle getting some goodies, when we walked past this lady that was seemingly struggling to push her cart over to the side of the aisle so we hurried out of her way, and we were looking at cookies or something on the opposite side of the aisle.
All of a sudden, we hear this phooshing sound (like, air being let out of a balloon or something), and I feel something wet hitting my the backs of my legs. I turned around in astonishment to see this orange mixture squirting at me.
Ever see those spray cans of Cheese Whiz? Well, the reason the lady was struggling so much with her cart was b/c she had gotten it caught on a little hanging rack of Cheese Whiz, and somehow had popped the can!
The poor lady was so embaressed, and was apologizing profusely. I didn't get a chance to tell her that it was okay, I was doubled over laughing too hard. In fact, I was laughing so hard that my mother - who was also laughing, mind you - had to pull me away from the squirting display of Cheese Whiz.
When an employee came over to see what the commotion was and to clean up the mess, he kept saying, over and over, "I've never seen anything like this! I've never seen anything like this!"
Me either, sir, me either! To this day I still laugh whenever I think of that story. And my mom loves retelling it! :haha:
"It is still best to be honest and truthful; to make the most of what we have; to be happy with simple pleasures and to be cheerful and have courage when things go wrong."

| That is so funny Christina. It is funny when something makes you laugh so hard. While going through a drive-thru at Jack-in-the Box one time, someone did something that had me laughing hysterically. I could barely order on the speaker. The woman on the other end was not taking me seriously, thought it was a prank or something.... I drove to the window and handed her my money, I tried to hold my laughter but when I was giving her the money I started laughing again real hard... my sides hurt, my mouth hurt, I could hardly see the bag of food from the tears I had in my eyes.... it was terrible! The girls at the restaurant started laughing from seeing me laugh like a crazy lunatic. :haha: | |
