Iconic television man Norman Lear passed away this week at age 101.
Lear was known for developing popular and controversial television shows such as All in the Family, Maude, and The Jeffersons. His shows were well known for dealing with topics that were considered taboo or something that should not be talked about publicly during the years when they aired.
Lear was also born in New Haven, Connecticut and was a Veteran of World War 2.
