| I really love cold. I find its coziness wonderful to read near the stove or to cook something nice to my nephews. Of course, It's not so fine when you must to go out to work and bitter cold surprises you early in the morning...But I like much less the awful heat, when I can't barely walk for I'm all day yawning and pespiring...and I'm not well even in my house, for heat would reach every single corner of it. No will to eat, nor to read, nor to do anything. Cold is intimate and cozy. As for being bored...No; I can't too much to do for having the time of being bored! I wish I could have some time aside to bore! Vanesa. | |

| I agree with Vanesa -- I like cold better than heat. Fall is my favorite time of year, although spring is a close second. Unlike most people I talk to, I actually like winter weather. If we don't have a good snowstorm or two and a few days of below zero weather, it doesn't seem like a real winter. Fall sounds really good about now, as it was 101° today here in Cincinnati. That's unusual for us. | |

| Some unsolicited advice to anyone in general who may start to feel bored, lonely, depressed or even in the depths of despair.........And, being unsolicited, you can feel free to ignore it, of course. But it DOES work: Go find someone to help. Really! It sounds too simple, but it works wonders. Volunteer at a hospital, or a nursing home: Read to someone who can no longer see. You'll start to be thankful for your sight........Write a letter for a person who has lost the ability to use their hands. You'll begin to be thankful that you can still use your hands whenever you want to. Visit someone who has nobody left in this world. ANYONE can do those things, and they mean everything to someone who has almost nothing. And when we start to look around, to help others who are hurting, it helps us to not focus on our own hurt quite so much. Things start to look a little brighter, and at the same time, we can help to make the world just a little better. :fyi: | |

| Rilla/sweetheart: Both of you sound alike, same writing, same mood and so forth. Whether you are 1 person or not, by keep coming here and post that you're bored and depressed and hear people say we're here for you will NOT make your problems go away. You need help!! I'm sorry if I step on your toes, but I need to voice my opinion. Take Savannah's advice because she is absolutely right. You need to stop take pity on yourself. If I remember correctly, you're 24? Start take control of your life. Again, I'm sorry if offended you. "Within the heart of every stray, lies the singular desire to be loved." | |

| I have to agree with Lily, Rilla and sweetheart sound like the same person. I don't know how old you are, but in addition to getting professional help, there are a couple of great books I could suggest.
The first is THE TRUTH, My Secret Diary, I'm Ten, I'm Smart, And I Know Everything by Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein and You Are More Than Enough Every Woman's Guide to Purpose, Passion and Power by Judi Moreo. While self-help books can't take the place of a professional, I do believe they help--if you do what the books say, exercises included.
We are not trying to get you not to post anymore, we are merely trying to help you see that no forum is a substitute for "real" help. And what Savannah said is also true, helping others makes us feel better about ourselves.
Good luck!
