Try ad-aware, it's free. I have it and it cleans the virus right out.

I'd love to help, but I'm definitely no computer expert! Ad-aware is great, though. AND free, like Beckie said! I hope it helps your computer.

Adware is fine after the fact, but not much help if you're already infected. If you have an anti-virus and it didn't catch it, then your best bet (I think) would be a system restore, going back before you installed the MSN, then re-install it again.

Here's a link for Ad-Aware 2007 in case you don't have it already..

Norton is ok, but any virus protection is only as good as its updates. If yours isn't updating, then it won't do you much good. If it's over two years old, it's usully best to buy a new version.

AVG has a decent free one, but I'm not sure where to find it now. I used to have it, but I had to get rid of it when I switched to broadband, cuz it came with McAfee, and you can't run two at once (at least it's a very bad idea)

That's what I would do too. I also use ZoneAlarm, which is free and works really well. It will notify you each time something is trying to enter your computer that it thinks shouldn't be there...the only thing with that is, if it's something you want, like a download or something, you have to click to "allow" it. I like it though and I think it protects my computer pretty well. I use AdAware too for Spyware.

Here's a link to free Zone Alarm downloads: http://www.download.com/3000-2092-10039884.html
