| What a sweet Grandma you have Emily Anne!! I love dolls. Did you give her a name yet? "Within the heart of every stray, lies the singular desire to be loved." | |

| My friend, who is not Amish, went and stayed with some Amish realatives for a week. Why she was there she dressed like them and everything! She also mentioned that there dolls have no faces. Also where her realatives live there is a community telephone outside so the Amish can use it. I always thought that they never used phones and stuff like that. | |

You would be surprised at how modern some of them have become. It's really interesting. BeckieLETS GO PENS!

| That's a darling doll, Emily! I have a pattern for a doll like her, and have wanted to make one for my niece, Rachel.
Yeah, Susie.......I'd be very, very surprised if they were Amish, too. They were more likely Old Order Mennonite, or a group of Mennonites who dress similarly. They dress a lot like the Amish, but are allowed some more of the modern conveniences. Though a lot of the Old Order Mennonites don't drive cars, either. It depends on their sect and their bishop.
