Can my job get any worse?

Every day I have more and more reasons to hate my job. I got in trouble today because I was confused on what my job for the day was on Sunday, and because I don't speak up. People snitched on me. I hate snitches. Why didn't they have the guts to come up to me and tell me instead of going to my boss like a little kid!!! I think I know exactly who snitched on me too. I have a half of mind to use a few choice words on them but I would be in even deeper trouble. It stinks that because I am shy it gets me into trouble at work. That's the way I am and I am not going to change that. If they don't like it, then why don't they get rid of me? If I don't get another job soon I want to just quit, but I cannot do that. Wish I could get a job that I actually wanted or enjoy. This job has me so miserable all the time. I never have anything good to look forward to because this place has drained all my energy. It has made me so negative on life.

Wow, I never thought you're the shy type. If you're not sure about something, always ask. There're no questions that are stupid. Obviously, your boss did not get rid of you because you're doing a great job, that should give you some sense of confidence and hope that maybe you have more to offer than you realize. I wouldn't let the snitchers bother me, it'll bother you only if you let it bothers you. Best of luck to you on whatever the decision you make for your future endeavor.

Unfortunately, you will meet those types of people in any job you have Beckie. It's best to try not to let them bother you. Easier said than done, but it's the only way to survive with those types of people lurking around.

Lily is right, always ask if you're unsure. I could have saved myself so many headaches in life if I had done that.

I hope it gets better or at least you can find a way to deal with it.

I'm sorry you're having even more issues with your job Beckie :( I would ignore the snitches - people like that don't deserve a second thought, or your speaking to them, which would probably just make them feel as though they've gotten more attention. I hope things start looking up for you soon. What are you interested in? Maybe you could look for another job and just keep this one to tide you over til you find a better one.

Believe me there have been several times when I have been confused on what I am supposed to do for a project at work and as much as I HATE to bug the attorneys (because you never know what mood they'll be in), I just take a deep breath and just do it.... I put myself out there and ask about things...

Just don't think about it... just do it... because you have to save your butt, and even though no question is stupid, sometimes bosses can be mean and not answer very kind... (it's happened to me), but what doesn't kill me only has made me stronger. Other times they were glad I went to them and have gotten the job done well. Thumbsup

I am shy around certain people. I mean I do talk a lot to my friends at work, but for the most part I am quiet. At home I am not shy, I am quite silly. And the closer I am to people then I am not shy with them at all. I love to be silly and joke around.

Oh believe me I am trying to find a better job. And yes there were snitches at my other jobs too. Those people ain't worth much to me. I am not perfect by any means, but I know I am better than them. They all think they are better than everyone.

I think internet could make a shy person to pass as being the opposite of a shy one, since you can said whatever you want without being censored, anyone can really see your face and anyone would really know who you really are. So, maybe, people who in everyday life have afraid of saying something , realizes that here he/she can do it freely. Just wondering. :think:
