For the pigeon dung to be piled up like it described sounds like neglect to me. It should be maintained regularly especially the heavy flow of traffic this bridge carries everyday. Somebody did not do the job. mad

If 'they" knew what pigeon dung could do...why didn't "they" take care of the problem once a week...or month...not when the bridge collapes.. mad

SHEESH!!! You can see what any type of bird doo doo does to a vehicle, can you imagine it piled up for a long time on a bridge....talk about corrosion being built up!!!
