Tom Clancy of The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem. My favorite band in the world is The Weavers, followed by The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem, followed by the Beatles.

I finally watched this episode this week, and the only reason I'm not wishing that I never wasted my time with it is because of the Charles and Jonathan plot line. The entire episode could have been focused on them and might have been great, instead of adding anything to do with Carrie. After watching the episode I looked it up on IMDB, which said it was the only episode in the series that gave Carrie a main story line. The Greenbush twins just were not good actresses, and this episode sadly only highlighted that. I did however enjoy the scenes with Charles and Jonathan, some of them were quite amusing!

I love the “Charles leaves town” episodes, he goes to swing a sledge to drill holes for dynamite, he goes with Mr Edward’s to carve the tunnel with blasting oil to get money for Mary while in hospital. I have to say this episode is great except for the parts where they cut to Carrie and she’s center screen for more than 2 seconds. I’m sorry but the only thing she was good for was falling down and running to the outhouse! Oh, and who couldn’t love the Xmas episode where she bought the star and wished Jesus a happy birthday? That my friends is all the love I have for that child, or her sister. I guess it just seems so out of place, the show is very limited in the fantasy world thank goodness. It’s a little too wizard of oz for me, without the cool Oompa Loompas. lol

I think the bizarre nature of this episode is perhaps already a strike against it. Even if it had starred Melissa Gilbert when she was very young in this strange fantasy world, I don't think I would have liked the story line. I wish they had given the Greenbush twins bigger parts in episodes as they grew up. I also wish that an episode which featured Carrie would have been something more in the world of Little House than this "invisible friend" thing. If the rest of the cast were more around as the supporting actors, I think this could also have helped the Carrie-centered scenes (and it could have been cute to see Carrie play more off of other characters, I think, like Mr. Oleson).

I would have liked to see Carrie interact with other characters more often as she grew up, instead of just members of the family. Even when she was old enough to go to school, she never said anything while there and never interacted with friends or other students. She was the only Ingalls sibling to go to school who never had "outside" friends. But I like the idea of her interacting with the others, particularly Mr. Oleson. I think he would have been kind to her.

He was really cute with her about the Christmas star in that episode.
