Because the polls for the episodes "The Wild Boy" and "Hello and Goodbye" left us with a dilemma--we tossed out Wild Boy, but kept Hello--we need to know if this character will be introduced to the Walnut Grove community. Keep in mind, if Matthew is eliminated, we will need to rewrite any epsiode he appears in--though I don't think that is many.

This poll will be open for 14 days.

I never cared for this character, so I voted for him not to come to WG. We could always have the episode "Hello and Goodbye" be about someone else.

Yes. I never liked this character, or cared about him. I choose rather not to have him in Walnut Grove. "Hello and Goodbye" could be done with someone else...but If we makes Mr. Montague to come earlier in the season, it should be VERY difficult to write "Hello and Goodbye". I mean...if we wouldn't have Mr. Montague , nor Mathew...who could be coming and who could be going away from Walnut Grove? Hard decission, isn't it? banghead help stars

I voted for him never coming b/c I can't imagine his character really having a meaningful entrance without "The Wild Boy", which we tossed out. I don't mean that the way it sounds; it's just that they wrote him in specifically for that episode, so without it, I just don't see how he would fit in otherwise.

We could make "Hello and Goodbye" about someone else. Maybe the Wilders decide to move on to Rocky Ridge then? Maybe they join Laura's parents in De Smet? Or it could be about someone else entirely. We are going to have our hands full deciding! grinsmiley

I think you gave an excellent idea righ here: the ones who could be moving , are the Wilders (Royal, Millie, Ruppert and Myron - NOT JENNY! Don't forget, NOT JENNY. :haha: She never, never existed banghead )...But who could be arriving, since Mr. Montague could be introduced early? Or maybe we may put "Hello and Godbye" earlier in the season too...In this case, we must write another epie for the show end... What do you said?

OhMy Wow, this is going to take a lot of thought! LOL we are certainly going to busy. But I'm sure it will be fun :)

I forgot that we were trying to introduce Mr. Montague earlier...so who could we be bringing into this episode?

Smack me for thinking this, but I would like to see Grace return to Walnut Grove, probably because her husband died, because I don't see her leaving two husbands. Maybe in 1980, but not in 1880. Don't forget, she has no idea if Isaiah decided to stay in Walnut Grove, only that he went there after she tossed him out.

So, Grace and Alicia come to Walnut Grove. Carl is a married man by this time, so he is living in California (or wherever it is that Grace and her family lived).

Then the episode "Love" could be about Isaiah and Grace trying to figure out if they want to get back together again. Maybe they begin courting, but have no immediate plans for the future.

Then in "Hello and Goodbye", Carl could come back for a visit to square things away with Isaiah. If Grace and Isaiah, don't get back together, then maybe Grace and Alicia go back home with Carl. If Grace and Isaiah decide to get married, then maybe it's just Carl who leaves to go home to his family in California.

As far as Montague goes, according to the Prairiefans website he was coming to Walnut Grove to do research for a book. What in the heck could he research in a town that doesn't even have a library? Maybe, Montague decides to come to Walnut Grove to do a story on Walnut Grove's new mayor (assuming Sarah Carter doesn't run the paper in town.) Or maybe his book is about the founding of Walnut Grove, its history, and the townsfolk that make up the town now because he had a relative who lived there once.

Anyone remember what the heck his book was supposed to be about?

Montague stays in the hotel and then moves into the boarding house, along with Isaiah, and Willie and Rachel, when Laura and Almanzo inherit it.

What do you guys think about this idea?

I just can't figure out how we are going to keep Jenny out of the mix in these episodes. It will mean a lot of rewriting. Just like removing the Carters from the town will mean the same thing.

The one conflict I have with this idea is the three movies that come after the end of Season 9 where the Wilders still live in Walnut Grove.

That's what I was thinking of too. I like your idea of Grace coming back to WG, not knowing Edwards is there, and them possibly reconciling in "Love". But then we still have the "Hello and Goodbye" episode to handle.

But if you look at the rest of my response, you'll see I worked in "Hello and Goobye" there too.

But I was talking about "the other Wilders"...Royal, Millie, Rupert and Myron..but since it seems they wouldn't stay in Walnut Grove for long.... grinsmiley

...And if you think I'd be smart enough to read your entire post, you'd be assuming too much! ROTFL

Sorry, I was in a rush the other day and trying to read through the Fan Fic posts as fast as I could to catch up. I see how you worked in an idea for the episode now, though. grinsmiley
